We just took delivery of the new slimmer, lighter PSP unit here at work! It's the black one underneath my older white one. Not a lot of difference eh?As well as shaving off a few millimetres and grams, this new revision boasts more flash memory for faster load times, and TV out via component cables.
It's definitely lighter and slimmer (you'd have to look closely to tell the size difference though) but it feels much tackier and cheaper.
The original PSP has a solid, "serious bit of kit" feel about it. This new one feels like it came out of one of those surprize egg machines you see outside of chip-shops.
Not sure the meagre benefits justify a purchase but I might fall foul to impulse buying...again...
